Purchases of items that are less than full price are Final Sale and are NOT eligible for return/refund/exchange - NO exceptions will be made.
Purchases of Special Occasion items are Final Sale and are NOT eligible for return/refund/exchange.
Items purchased on pre-order are not eligible for refund; if returned they will be accepted for store credit only.
To Return Items Received as Gifts for Store Credit:
Enclose a note indicating the name of the gift giver or the order number as well as the email address to whom the merchandise credit code should be sent - along with the unwanted gifts with all tags intact - to the address below.
For Full-Priced items:
Exchanges-- Please place a new order to secure the item(s) you want, and return your unwanted item(s) per the following policies.
Timeframe: If you wish to return Christmas/Easter Holiday items - you must do so within 14 days of delivery!. For all other items: Returns of Full-Priced items are accepted within 30 days of original delivery, under the following policies.
Condition: Merchandise must be unworn, unused, unstained, undamaged, unwashed, unaltered, odor free - with original tags attached and intact and in original packaging. Obviously, we are not responsible for items damaged by the customer during the washing/drying process, nor for items that are damaged during wear. Think of your return as your opportunity to sell your items back to us and give some thought to the condition of your return. We reserve the right to reject a return if we believe the item has been worn. We are so grateful for your support and will do our best to take care of our customers. We ask that you respect us in turn.
Shoe Returns: Shoes must be returned in the original shoe box and the shoe box packed in a shipping box. Shoes returned in bags or with markings, stickers, address info., etc. on the shoe box or missing the original shoe box will not be accepted.
Final Sale Policy: Certain items are Final Sale and CANNOT be exchanged/returned. These include: sale items, face masks, hair accessories, hats, socks/tights/booties and items purchased on clearance at prices ending in $0.97 or $0.99.
Refunds/Store Credits: Please allow 1-4 weeks for any refunds to appear on your credit card or bank statement. If you receive a Store Credit, rather than a refund, your Store Credits will be issued as a coupon code and will be delivered to you via email. Returns of orders paid in full or in part with Store Credit will be reimbursed with store credit - no credit card refunds will be issued.
Shipping Charges: Shipping charges are not refundable. If returned, orders originally shipped with complimentary shipping will have regular shipping charges deducted from the return credit. If you return using a return service label provided by The Best Dressed Child, a nominal charge will be deducted from your return refund.
***If our system identifies an unreasonable return pattern, we may restrict or refuse future transactions from such customers.***
TO MAKE A RETURN:
Ensure your items are eligible for return and meet the requirements for timeframe and condition outlined above. If so, then:
Enclose a copy of the original sales receipt or order confirmation email or shipping confirmation email, and mark the items being returned.
Write your order number on the outside of the shipping box.

There is no return drop-off.
Returns that meet the requirements for timeframe and condition are processed and any refunds/credits due applied within 14 days of their arrival here.
Returns that do not meet the requirements outlined above will not be refunded/credited nor will they be returned to you.
Do NOT use "return to sender" to send packages back to us. Customers who do so will be charged a 25% re-stocking fee on those items and original shipping charges will not be refunded.
